CAN YOU IMAGINE?
My grandmother was a farmer, an elementary school teacher, and later in life a licensed practical nurse. She decided to go to college at age 46 to become a teacher. Then again in her 60’s to become an LPN.Throughout my life, she had many things to say, but these stand out.“If you think you can’t, you can’t. If you think you can, you are right.”“The day you stop learning is the day you begin to die. We always have things to learn and things to aspire to.”“Use your imagination. If you can imagine it, then it is possible.”
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBILITIES?
Your mind is a strong force in your life. Your body follows where your mind leads. Do you think in terms of sickness? Or do you think in terms of health? What do you ask and what do you expect? Do you ask for what you want or what you think is wrong? Many, many years ago, I had a broken wrist with multiple fractures. In my world at that time, broken bones took 6 weeks to heal. The doctor thought I might have a cast on for closer to 3 months. I remember telling him that I would be out of the cast in 6 weeks. Every time I looked at my wrist, I counted down the days until my cast came off. Unbeknownst to me, I was really asking my body to send resources to heal the bone faster. True to what I asked my body to do, I was out of the cast in the 6 weeks, much to the surprise of the doctor and his staff.
IS THAT ALL THERE IS?
With much more understanding about this world we call the human body, I am continually amazed at how much more quickly things heal and that truly anything is possible.
One of my instructors once said, “I believe in miracles. Therefore, I get to witness miracles.”So do I.
